April saw a great influx of imagery from all points of the globe, including superb primates, bold new African wildlife shots, giant otters from South America and a variety of European mammals. We also added micropictures of pollen grains and flu virus.

Over the last month, we've added some unusual and dramatic material to our website. Highlights include Andy Rouse's grizzlies and polar bears, Alex Mustard's seahorses and seadragons, Tony Heald's Namibian wildlife and Luis Claudio Marigo's Brazilian jaguars hunting caiman. Closer to home, Mark Taylor has supplied some great new studio shots of kittens and puppies in action and great British and African wildlife cut-outs.

This month we started to represent the dramatic underwater material of British photographer Alex Mustard, and added rare images from Guadalupe Island in Mexico by Claudio Contreras, the bold landscapes of Floris van Breugel, and Christophe Courteau's bushmen and African aerial coverage.

More than 3800 great images have been added to our site over the last month. We would like to flag up some of the key additions:

~ ~Madagascar wildlife from Alex Hyde and Inaki Relanzon, including great fossas.
~Ingo Arndt's Christmas Island endemics and dramatic animal mass images.
~Wildlife and landscapes from the December ^big freeze^ in the UK.
~Great new underwater coverage including the world's largest creature, the blue whale.
~Edwin Giesbers' Spring woodlands and wild boar families.
~Arabian oryx and other Middle Eastern species form Staffan Widstrand.

In July we saw an influx of material from the tropics. Claudo Contreras visited Haiti to document its cloudforest fragments and endangered species, while Anup Shah and French duo Jouan and Rius provided contrasting coverage from Borneo. Other highlights of our July gallery are bold Scottish wildcat portraits and Martin Dohrn's unique starlight photography.

June saw more than 5000 new images added to our website. Amongst the highlights were great Russian material from Sergey Gorshkov, our first submission from rising Scottish star Fergus Gill and superb animal portraits and conceptual images from Edwin Giesbers. Here you will also find urban wildlife from Berlin, Tim Laman's bowerbirds, and superb Madagascan wildlife.

This month Eric Dragesco returned from Mongolia with rare images of Gobi bears and wild snow leopards, Edwin Giesbers supplied great orang utan and Sumatran tiger portraits, and we took on the work of Kevin Schafer, focussing on endangered species worldwide.

May was a strong month for new material: dramatic Icelandic landscapes and volcanos, Andalucian coverage featuring the endangered Iberian lynx and imperial eagle, and more great wildlife and environmental coverage from Africa, Asia, South America and the polar regions.

Our globe-trotting photographers have visited all corners of the world to provide exciting new photos over the last month. We've got great mountain gorilla behaviour from Andy Rouse, coral reef biodiversity from Jurgen Freund, and lots of polar wildlife ranging from narwhals to leopard seals from Eric Baccega and Troels Jacobsen. Hermann Brehm captured a fascinating sequence of a Bengal tiger being frightened by a leaf!

Our North American photographers Diane McAllister, Dave Wellings and Jeff Vanuga have been busy photographing coyotes, hummingbirds, prairie dogs and much more. While back in Europe, we've great new Finnish wildlife from Lassi Rautiainen, including an interesting brown bear/wolf confrontation.
