August additions to our site included material from new contributor Cyril Ruoso, bears and Japanese wildlife from Danny Green, Alex Hyde's insect macro work, Komodo dragons and Enrique Lopez-Tapia's coverage on Ethiopian peoples.

NPL photographers enjoyed great success in the world's leading 2015 photography competitions. At the GDT European Photographer of the year Bruno D'Amicis won the Fritz Polking prize for his fennec fox portfolio and Bence Mate won the mammals category. At the Terre Sauvage Nature Images Awards Jurgen Freund won the IUCN bursary and Bence Mate the portfolio category. Nuno Sa was overall winner of the Underwater Photographer of the Year competition and Alex Hyde won the Hidden Britain category of the BWPA competition. Edwin Giesbers' newt image was a category winner in both the WPOY and GDT competitions. Our photographers were also successful in the Por el Planeta, MontPhoto and CONABIO competitions.

A great mix of new material was added to our site. Highlights include new reindeer images, a variety of New World and Old World primates, red fox cubs in action, budgerigars and endangered bald ibis in the wild, bioluminescent creatures, dramatic rainforest aerials, and the head-hunters of northern India.

Highlights of February 2015 included new bird portraits and behaviour from Markus Varesvuo, Antarctic penguin coverage from Fred Olivier, atmospheric plant close-ups and woodlands from Sandra Bartocha, strong African wildlife from the Denis-Huots and a range of worldwide landscapes by David Noton, Jack Dykinga and others.

January 2015 highlights included British and German urban wildlife from Sam Hobson, Ben Cranke's material from Brazil and Japan, underwater images by new recruit Pascal Kobeh, and the world's rarest dolphin.

July additions to our site covered a great variety of subjects - Arctic and Alpine wildlife, African wild dog behaviour, pygmy blue whales, a rare sequence of a lioness and wildebeest calf playing, Galapagos endemic species, and the threatened wetlands of Mexico City.

Highlights uploaded this month included the first major submission from new contributors Jean-Lous Klein and Marie-Luce Hubert. Their work covers African wildlife, several penguin species, European wildlife, and a range of pets and domesticated animals. Other subjects added were brown hyenas from Namibia, the US/Mexico border fence, new footage from Konrad Wothe, and a range of primate species.

In November we added a varied range of material to our site. This included blue sharks, deep sea creatures and coverage on the Sargasso sea, plus Scandinavian and Estonian wildlife and landscapes, Fennec foxes, indigenous people from Ethiopia, international shipping - and a rare and very cute white Japanese macaque baby!

October's highlights added to our site included Walruses underwater, displaying Great crested grebes, Galapagos wildlife, amphibian behaviour, Himalayan poppies in the wild, cute harvest mice and a range of weird invertebrates.

New additions to our site in September included wild pumas and other Argentinian species from Gabriel Rojo, Espen Bergersen's Scandinavian and Indian wildlife, great crested grebe action from new contributor Krijn Trimbos, dolphins from South Africa, footage of salmon and rattlesnakes, and Ross Hoddinott's atmospheric landscapes.
