Ingo Arndt was born in Frankfurt in 1968 and has worked as a professional wildlife photographer since 1992. His photographs are published all over the world in magazines such as GEO, National Geographic, BBC Wildlife and Terre Sauvage. He has worked on long-term photo stories in all five continents and spends an average of six months travelling each year. As well as aspiring to take perfect pictures he tries to record unique forms of behaviour in the animal kingdom and the complex ecological context in which animals survive. In 2005, Ingo was awarded the World Press Photo Award for his GEO report on Animal Feet. His pictures won prizes in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2014.
