Dan Burton was an early convert to digital underwater photography. Starting in 1999 he used homebuilt housings and developed ground breaking 360 degree imaging techniques. As a pioneer technical deep diver, he's worked on numerous deep sea assignments photographing and filming.
He continues to develop new photographic ideas all the time, building still cameras and video housing, and using specialist optics to achieve unusual imagery. His specially designed housings have been used on numerous world free-diving, and wreck diving records to depths of excess of 200 metres.
In the last five years Dan has taken to the air, and now shoots aerial images using a motorized paraglider. This allows him to shoot in remote locations, and in areas inaccessible to helicopters.
