{"id":1557,"date":"2019-02-21T10:30:22","date_gmt":"2019-02-21T10:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.naturepl.com\/blog\/?p=1557"},"modified":"2019-02-21T10:30:22","modified_gmt":"2019-02-21T10:30:22","slug":"clay-bolt-wins-nanpa-2019-environmental-impact-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.naturepl.com\/blog\/2019\/02\/21\/clay-bolt-wins-nanpa-2019-environmental-impact-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Clay Bolt wins NANPA 2019 Environmental Impact Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re delighted to report that\u00a0Clay Bolt has been selected as the recipient of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanpa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North American Photography Association<\/a>&#8216;s\u00a02019\u00a0Environmental Impact Award, for his photographic work promoting the protection of North America&#8217;s native bees. The award honours an individual or team who addresses an important and urgent regional or global environmental problem.\u00a0He will speak more about this on-going project at the 2019 Nature Photography Summit this week.<\/p>\n<p>Clay Bolt is a natural history and conservation photographer specialising in the world\u2019s smallest creatures. He regularly partners with organisations such as the National Geographic Society, National Wildlife Federation, and Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation. He is an Associate Fellow in the International League of Conservation Photographers (<a href=\"https:\/\/conservationphotographers.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iLCP<\/a>), past president of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), and co-founder (2009) of the international nature and biodiversity photography project &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.naturepl.com\/meet-your-neighbours.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Your Neighbours<\/a>&#8216;. Currently his major focus is on North America\u2019s native bees and the important roles that they play in our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Clay lives in Bozeman, Montana where he is the communications lead for WWF\u2019s Northern Great Plains Program.
