\"RSB-logo-clear\"The theme of this year\u2019s Royal Society of Biology Photography Competition<\/a>\u00a0has been announced as\u00a0\u2018Capturing movement\u2019.\u00a0<\/em><\/span>Life on Earth is constantly changing, and the Royal Society of Biology invite you to photograph nature in motion and enter their annual competition.<\/p>\n

You might wish to explore the locomotion and migration of animals or the growth and colonisation of plants and fungi. Your photograph could depict the act of flying, hunting, playing and swimming, or the bones, muscles and other biological structures that help perform these actions. They also welcome entries that explore this theme at the cellular or molecular level, illustrating the dynamic world only revealed to us with a microscope.<\/p>\n

Supported by Eppendorf, there are two entry categories each with a cash prize: 18 and over (\u00a31000) and under 18s (\u00a3500). Each person can submit up to three images, and the deadline is\u00a026th<\/sup> July 2019<\/strong>. Judges include our very own Tim Harris, along with our photographers Alex Hyde<\/a> and Linda Pitkin.<\/p>\n
