During the frigid winter months, people tuck up inside cosy homes and wear thick layers when venturing out. But what about animals, how do they survive? Some adopt the same methods as us and grow thick furry winter coats or create cosy dens or nests. Others decide to avoid the cold altogether, by hibernating or migrating away. Those that stay and brave the weather have evolved to have all sort of ingenious and bizarre adaptations to keep warm.
