Bernard Castelein is based in Belgium and attaches great importance to photographing nature close to home.

Bernard has also travelled extensively in many regions of the world, with a particular fascination for high altitude regions such as the Andes and Himalayas. He has rich coverage on Indian and Madagascan wildlife and peoples.

He was Chairman of BVNF, the Belgian Society of Nature Photographers, for many years, and is closely involved in organising the FotoForum Brasschaat festival in the town where he lives. His Altiplano exhibition will be shown there during March 2018.
